Tamerlane Books (previously John Freas Rare Books) began life in 1970. We maintained a shop and gallery in Bryn Mawr, PA until moving to our home, to concentrate in dealing only in the finest quality rare books, prints and related art. We are general "antiquarians" with an emphasis on the visual - illustrated books, fine bindings, color plate books, etc. - as well as prints, ephemera, paintings and drawings and related graphics.

We are available by appointment, seven days a week and welcome visitors. Our home is a short drive or train ride from Philadelphia. We have a small, frequently changing and select inventory. Come and see us!
